City of Frontenac, Missouri
A Heritage of Gracious Living, Shopping and Dining
How do Frontenac taxes compare to neighboring cities?
Property and utility taxes are the two primary taxes that cities in St. Louis County assess directly to their residents and businesses. As shown in the tables below, Frontenac’s residential property and utility taxes are lower than most neighboring cities with the exception of Des Peres and Town and Country, which have higher sales taxes, heavy retail bases and essential retail businesses, such as grocery stores and hardware stores, that generate substantial sales tax revenues and weather economic downturns and the pandemic quite well.
